Emily getting her annual 5-way vaccine. She is very dramatic and always fusses. She wont even let me take her temperture, she screams. PLEASE NOTE that there is always a chance that your dog could have a bad reaction to a vaccine. Always have liquid benedryl on hand and know the correct dosage for your dog. most cases liquid benadryl given as soon as you notice the reaction works. HOWEVER if the benedryl does NOT work, please take the dog/puppy to the vet to get a shot of epinephrine to prevent the dog/puppy from going into shock. None of my dogs have ever had a bad reaction, but that doesnt mean it wont ever happen. Be prepared with liquid benadryl! Always keep an eye on the dog/puppy for at least an hour after the injection is given to make sure no reaction occurs.
